Personal Names in the Accusative Case

FormNominative ⟶ Accusative
Feminine and masculine nouns, ending in –a:Оксана ⟶ Оксану
Микола ⟶ Миколу
Feminine nouns, ending in –ія:Наталія ⟶ Наталію
Masculine nouns, ending in a consonant:Степан ⟶ Степана
Masculine nouns, ending in –й or a soft sign:Андрій ⟶ Андрія
Василь ⟶ Василя
Masculine nouns, ending in –о:Петро ⟶ Петра

Note: These forms are used for personal names when asking someone to the phone, thus expressing a direct object, in constructions such as “Can I ask Oksana to the phone?” See Grammar reference for details.
